Dimensional Letters

Project Location

Aperam is a global player in stainless steel industry. With locations worldwide in Brazil, Europe and North America their company is one of the leading producers of high value-added specialty products, including nickel alloyts and electrical steel. In 2011 ArcelorMittal underwent a name change and became the company today known as Aperam.

Aperam contacted us the summer of 2012 to revise their building signage to reflect their new name. It turns out the Signarama Troy has produced their building signage the 2 previous times their name changed as well. Being in the steel industry their were looking to maintain the steel look but also incorporate their full color gradient logo. This is where we had to get creative!

The letters themselves we fabricated using 18 gauge and 22 gauge steel which had a satin finish. Now to get the color spectrum on the face or front of the letters we printed the image onto white vinyl, contour cut the shape of the letters, laminate the print, and then adhered the graphic overlay to each letter. On top of the letters already being high gloss from the satin silver finish the graphic almost added a reflective look to the sign. It was truly amazing to see how great the letters looked with the final finish. This will definitely be a highlight project to showcase for years to come.
