Project Overview
Signarama Troy collaborated with Auburn Ash to create a captivating and highly visible sign for their salon located on Auburn Road. The primary objective was to design a sign that would not only be eye-catching to people passing by but also align with the owner’s vision of creating an inviting presence. The challenge was to achieve this within a specified budget while maximizing the impact of the sign’s visibility.
Understanding the client’s needs and budget constraints, Signarama Troy proposed a strategic solution. By efficiently managing costs, the team was able to come in under the client’s anticipated budget. This financial flexibility allowed for an upgrade in the sign’s material, opting for a more substantial ¾” acrylic instead of the initially considered 1/8” acrylic for the letters.
The choice of a thicker acrylic material had a significant impact on the overall aesthetics of the sign. Notably, it enhanced the dispersion of LED light across the face of the sign, making the name, letters, and brand of Auburn Ash stand out prominently. This was especially crucial given the close proximity of the neighboring tenant’s sign, located within seven feet of Auburn Ash’s sign, and the vibrant ambient light in the parking lot.
Result
The decision to use ¾” acrylic instead of the initially planned 1/8” acrylic yielded remarkable results for Auburn Ash. The enhanced depth of the material facilitated a more effective distribution of LED light, significantly increasing the visibility and impact of the sign. The bold and illuminated presentation of the salon’s name and brand now stands out prominently, catching the attention of passersby.
The upgraded sign not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations, providing an inviting and captivating storefront presence.
