Project Overview
Signarama Troy/Metro Detroit was approached by Valeo, Troy, a highly esteemed customer, with a specific signage requirement. Valeo sought a prominent display of their Supplier of the Year award received from General Motors. The strategic location of Valeo’s multi-story building in Troy, Michigan, presented an excellent opportunity for optimal visibility to I-75 traffic, as well as major cross streets like 14 Mile and Stephenson Highway. Thus, it became the ideal spot for showcasing their accolade.
To address Valeo’s need for semi-permanent signage that could be easily removed when necessary, Signarama engaged in extensive discussions with Valeo. Together, they explored various options, including large banners and vinyl graphics applications. After careful consideration, it was determined that utilizing a perforated vinyl film for window covering would be the most impactful solution, given the abundance of window areas available.
This innovative approach incorporates building graphics and building wraps to effectively showcase Valeo’s Supplier of the Year award. By utilizing the perforated vinyl film, the signage serves as both outdoor signage and exterior signage, capturing the attention of passing traffic on I-75 and the surrounding streets. This eye-catching building advertisement proudly highlights Valeo’s achievement, allowing them to attract attention and reinforce their brand reputation in the local community.

The Result
The project took approximately two days to complete onsite, with the installation covering two of the building’s elevations. The outcome of this collaboration between Valeo and Signarama is truly impressive. With an estimated daily traffic count of over 85,000 vehicles passing by on I-75 and an additional 50,000 cars on 14 Mile Road, the signage is now visible to a staggering total of over 135,000 vehicles per day.
The strategic placement of the award display allows Valeo to maximize its visibility, effectively showcasing their achievement as General Motors’ Supplier of the Year. The eye-catching signage serves as a powerful marketing tool, capturing the attention of thousands of potential customers and reinforcing Valeo’s reputation as an industry leader.
