DCI Dialysis is a non-profit dialysis company rooted in Nashville, TN. With its first clinic opening in 1971, it has since expanded to include over 230 dialysis clinics – both stand-alone and incorporated into hospitals. DCI is spread across 28 states and employs over 5,000 people that serve 15,000 patients annually. Since its opening, DCI Dialysis is the only leading dialysis provider that has remained under its own control.
The relationship with DCI started how many great relationships start – by referral! One of Geisler’s longtime customers had a general contractor that was working on both sites at the same time. When it was discovered that DCI was in need of a signage vendor, they did not hesitate to boast about our National Branding solutions.
With DCI’s unique logo, we wanted to create the best design for them to be able to showcase the “swooshes” and layers. By using a mixture of illuminated and non-illuminated wall sign elements, we were able to capture all aspects of the logo. The “DCI” portion is illuminated channel letters, while their taglines are 2 illuminated capsules. On the backer portion, the swoosh is a non-illuminated aluminum substrate (Dibond).
The general contractor also custom-built a monument sign that we were able to install the DCI logo onto. We fabricated stud mounted acrylic letters to the monument sign to give the letters depth and also pop.
While doing all of this, we were in constant communication with not only the customer and general contractor but also the architect and marketing team. To ensure that we are always within their brand guidelines, all designs were approved by DCI marketing prior to moving forward.
The customer was very pleased with the result, and we are working with them on interior and exterior signage at another one of their locations. Their architects and general contractors also know that we are available for all questions and are happy to assist with getting them from start to finish on all their projects.
