About The Client
Westwood Elementary is a highly regarded school serving approximately 517 students in grades K-5. It is one of three elementary schools nestled in Warren Woods, providing all day Kindergarten and offers many opportunities for families outside of the regular school day.
Project Overview
These beautiful dimensional letters for Westwood Elementary came to us by bid through Advanced Building Group. Westwood Elementary had added a canopy on the exterior of the building a needed a new sign. We were happy to make that happen through the Advanced Building Group.
The school colors were featured prominently with orange aluminum cast letters over the blue building background. The contrast of the two colors really highlighted the sign and made it pop highlighting the school entrance way. Aluminum cast letters are a great option for outdoor signage as they will not rust and are a complete solid letter. Over time, the exterior weather elements will not deteriorate the letters giving them the ability to last for ages.
We used a pin mount method for the installation, making it very straight forward. With the pin mount method, each letter has threaded rods sticking out of the back. These threaded rods are then put into predrilled holes on the building, where each hole is then silicone closed in order to be water-tight and secure, giving the letters a floating look on the building.
The Result
This was a really great project for us. It is not often we get to work with contrasting colors like the letters and building for Westwood Elementary. We are thankful to have built such a great relationship with the Advanced Building Group and Warren Woods School District,.
