About The Client
I bet you you didn’t know that award-winning actors like Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and Sutton Foster (Modern Millie) were once students of our very own Troy High School. So when Troy was looking to update their electronic message center and retrofit sign we knew we wanted to be a part of this local community sign project!
Project Overview
Troy High School had a very outdated monochrome one-color electronic message center and a dilapidated sign that was falling apart. We suggested replacing the sign with a new Thinksign Full Color LED Message Center. This would allow the client to connect with students and the community with full-color messages. Thinksign was also fabulous to work with on this project.
We also replaced old sign faces with new white Lexan. We flooded the sign faces with vinyl to give the sign an individual letter look instead of seeing the full cabinet face. Inside the cabinets we replaced the old worn out bulbs with a new LED retrofit. This allowed for more even lighting across the entire sign and also provided a more environmentally friendly sign with much lower energy consumption requirements.
The Result
It was an award-winning experience – Troy High School loves their new sign and really gets creative with their messages. They have even reached out with other projects for us to complete.
