With that in mind, they continually invest in campus safety improvements.
One important security feature includes blackout film or window coverings.
These help prevent visibility into classrooms during active threat situations.
As a result, intruders are less likely to target students and staff.
Project Overview: Custom Security Window Graphics
This project began at a school networking conference.
There, South Lyon Community Schools connected with Signarama Troy.
The district was looking for a trusted signage partner with school safety experience.
Their goal was to reduce visibility into interior rooms using visual obstructions.
Specifically, they requested security window graphics across multiple buildings.
These graphics help shield vulnerable areas during emergency situations.
At the same time, the district wanted designs that reflected school pride.
Signarama Troy delivered custom-designed perforated window film solutions.
We worked across eight elementary schools within the South Lyon district.
Key areas included front entrances, main offices, libraries, and cafeterias.
Each installation was tailored to that school’s unique branding and mascot.
As a result, the designs boosted both safety and school spirit.
Results: Enhanced School Security and Custom Branding
The results were immediate and impactful.
The perforated window graphics created an added layer of protection.
Now, key areas are less visible from outside during emergencies.
This directly supports the district’s school safety protocols.
In addition, the new signage offered a visual upgrade to each school.
Branded graphics helped create a welcoming, unified look across all entrances.
Students, staff, and parents responded positively to the fresh designs.
Most importantly, the district gained peace of mind from the South Lyon safety project.
They now have a cost-effective, high-impact security solution.
