In the fall of 2011 Mor-Tech obtained to additional facilities to add to their original location in Sterling Heights, MI. Each facility was in need of a ground sign. Their location on 19.5 Mile Road would be seeing a good amount of traffic from both directions so it was determined this sign would be double-sided. The building on Diplomat Drive was not on a major road and more or less just needed a sign consistent in design with the 19.5 Mile location but on a smaller scale. Each sign also did not need to illuminate. We fabricated a 4′(h) x 8′(w) x 9″(d) double-sided monument sign and a 3′(h) x 6′(w) x 9″(d) single-sided monument sign for the Diplomat site. Both signs were built from our aluminum extrusion kit and were painted a custom blue to match the graphic color in the Mor-Tech logo. Being non-illuminated signs the panels that were in the top part of cabinets were Dibond (metal) rather than Acrylic.
In the end a non-illuminated cabinet has a similar look to an illuminated cabinet without the additional lighting expense.
