Project Overview
Oasis Advanced Engineering, located in Lake Orion, Michigan, partnered with Signarama Troy to design and install a custom monument sign. This not only highlights their business but also includes signage for other tenants within their business park. The goal was to create a multi-tenant monument sign that enhanced visibility and helped direct visitors to the various businesses within the park. However, the project required overcoming a zoning challenge: the ideal location for the sign was closer to the road than normally permitted by local regulations.
To ensure the success of the project, Signarama Troy took on the responsibility of representing Oasis at an after-hours town meeting. During the meeting, we advocated for a variance request. This involved explaining the importance of the sign’s placement for improved visibility, effective wayfinding, and clear business identification. After a few weeks, the variance was granted, allowing the sign to be installed in the desired location, ensuring maximum exposure for all tenants.
Results
With the variance approved, the new non-lit monument sign was installed in a prime location near the road. The sign enhances visibility and improves traffic flow for businesses in the park. Monument signs are crucial for directional signage and business recognition in multi-tenant properties. By guiding visitors and providing a professional appearance, the sign helps businesses effectively communicate their presence.
