Managing a diverse national portfolio, Kirco specializes in office, medical, retail, and industrial properties. Approximately 50% of their managed portfolio operates under third-party management arrangements, including partnerships with institutional owners.

One of Kirco’s flagship properties is the Columbia Center in Troy, Michigan. This premier office location boasts a 20-acre campus featuring twin thirteen-story office towers connected by a link, a three-level parking structure with over 800 spaces, a standalone mid-rise office building, a medical clinic, a banking center, and a variety of walkable restaurants. The Columbia Center is strategically located in the heart of the Big Beaver business corridor, known for its vibrant array of restaurants, hotels, and proximity to The Somerset Collection, one of the country’s most luxurious retail centers. With convenient access to I-75, Columbia Center offers unparalleled accessibility to major metropolitan areas, hotels, and airports, making it a prime location for business and commerce.

Project Overview – Signarama Troy and The Columbia Center in Troy

Signarama Troy collaborated with Kirco to enhance the visibility and promotion of the “Troy Traffic Jam” auto event at the Columbia Center in Troy, Michigan. Positioned at the highly trafficked intersection of I-75 and Big Beaver, this premier location sees over 23,000 vehicles passing by daily. Recognizing the significance of Detroit’s automotive heritage, the event, held annually on the first Sunday in August, showcases over 300 classic cars and vehicles. To effectively pre-promote this popular event and attract a larger audience, Kirco requested four distinctive Pop-Up Banners.

Signarama Troy took on the challenge, of designing and producing four custom Pop-Up Banners, also known as retractable banners, that not only advertised the event but also captured the spirit of Detroit’s automotive culture. To provide flexibility and allow for updates throughout the week leading up to the event, our Production Manager devised an innovative solution: custom sign badges attached to the banners using magnets. This creative approach enabled easy customization, allowing for dynamic messaging as the event date approached.

Results

The collaboration between Kirco and Signarama Troy resulted in a striking and versatile promotional tool for the “Troy Traffic Jam” auto event. The four Pop-Up Banners, strategically placed around the Columbia Center, effectively captured the attention of the thousands of commuters passing by daily. The innovative use of magnet-attached custom sign badges allowed for real-time updates and added a unique, interactive element to the promotion.
