In the wonderful world of signs – you see all types of colors, ideas shapes and shades. If you could imagine what would be your perfect color for any type of signage, what would it be? Red, blue or even hot pink. Here at SIGNARAMA we help you with every detail including color. Making sure all of our customers leave with a great feeling that their customized sign will have a great color scheme.
All customers are different and want all types of colors. Some customers are classic. Examples: a Medical Sign would be blue or red. Then you have customers who want to be different not your typical medical building, they want to stand out for a good reason. So they choose Orange or Green that would complaint their logo or their building. We suggest at SIGNARAMA that your color scheme be something that you are going to love for the next 10-15 years. That it does not blend in with the surrounding; i.e. if there is a lot of greenery around – your sign should be have warmer colors on it, to pop out from the background and not blend in.
Another thing to to keep in mind is certain cities around the United States will only allow certain colors due to their city policies. i.e. Bloomfield Hills, MI only allows black and gold, so when you drive through their city signs are all the same and have little personality. If you are in a city that only allows certain color schemes a great way to keep the boring city color and modernize your sign.
So please bring in any idea or thought about color schemes and here at SIGNARAMA we can help you decide if it is the right way to go. We are your one stop shop for design, permits and fabrication.
Did someone hit your mailbox…AGAIN?
As many times as I’ve replaced my mailbox, you’d think driver’s licenses were given out in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Between the snowplow, the teenage kids with learners permits, and my mother-in-law, I should have bought stock in 4×4’s & mailboxes. The local collision shop knows most of my family by our first name.
All kidding aside, wouldn’t it be great if you could accidentally run into your mailbox and experience minimal damage to not only the box but your car? Well, now you can. SIGNARAMA offers a flexible post system that is impact resistant. With 360 degrees of flexibility, you can rest assured that your mailbox, and anything that comes into contact with it, will not produce the typically huge liability you’ve grown accustom to.
The Flexible post system is designed to bend or fall away when struck by a vehicle. In climates that experience winter snow, the sturdy steel spike, steel post, and shock-absorbing spring will allow your mailbox to flex when struck by ice or snow. When the snow clears, the post will return to it’s fully upright position.
The Flexible Post System meets the guidelines for the United States Postal Service. According to USPS.com, “For posts and supports, it’s up to you to keep them neat and adequate in strength and size. Ideally, its assembly should bend or fall away when struck by a vehicle. The Postal Service doesn’t regulate mailbox supports except for purposes of carrier safety and delivery efficiency. It’s also your responsibility to ensure a path is clear to your mailbox so that carriers can safely and efficiently deliver the mail.”
Call SIGNARAMA Troy to order your Flexible Mailbox Post System. Mailbox not included.

Growing up in Northern Michigan I was never really exposed to sign spinners and their talents. When moving down to Metro Detroit to work for the BEST, and I mean the BEST sign company I noticed more and more people standing on the street waving signs. It really got me thinking is this the new billboard? Are we really using humans for directional signage? Does this really work?
As I began my research on sign spinners I noticed that sign spinning is becoming an art form and unconventional career for most. A lot of people take up sign spinning for the ability to be outside and enjoy the weather. Others to practice their dance moves for the weekend. Then there is the select few who live to be a sign spinner. They are proud to use a combination of acrobatics, baton-tossing and martial arts movements to attract the attention of passing motorists.
Sign spinning is an ideal way to gain much needed attention from passing motorists, since a lot of signage eventually loses its appeal over time. A good spinner can attract a crowd or even cause an accident on the road if many of the motorist are not paying any attention. That personal element comes back with a sign spinner, people are will to take a chance on your clearance sale or lunch specials. When you have a sign spinner going crazy on the street corner.
There are also some alternatives to sign spinning. This would include a machine to move the sign in many directions or a sign doll. Yes a sign doll. These dolls move like their arms like a sign spinner with out the crazy flips.
So the real question is an you benefit from sign spinners? Browse the web and take a look at the companies that have great sign spinners out front, how are they doing? I have a feeling they are going to tell you sales are up! Then come to SIGNARAMA and allow us to produce your awesome sign spinning signs for a great low cost and make your sign spinner dreams come true.
PVC is one of the most widely used plastics in the world. It offers a diverse and varied range of properties, and contributes significantly to the modern lifestyles that we all enjoy.
Signs made of PVC are perfect for interior usage. PVC sign material is most commonly used for:
- Directional Signage
- Ceiling Mount Hanging Signs
- Wall mount signs
- Display or Menu Boards
- Tabletop Displays or Easels, and so much more.
PVC is fairly rigid, yet inexpensive. Use of PVC signage outdoors long-term is not recommended since it may warp or mildew with prolonged exposure to sunlight, heat, or moisture. Short term outdoor use or long term indoor use is ideal. PVC is a suitable substrate for printing directly on it’s matte surface. It can be routed, engraved, or bent into virtually any shape. When looking for Interior Signage, PVC is a SIGNARAMA best bet. PVC makes for a great sign!
