What is the Outside Sales Position?
The Outside Sales position at Signarama Troy is a crucial part of our success. While this role typically involves generating your own leads, we provide a strong training period to help you identify and pursue potential opportunities. We also share lead opportunities as they come in, fostering a collaborative team environment. You will learn about our products and services by traveling with our experienced sales team.
This position is primarily commission-based, with a training salary that may extend long-term based on any existing customer base you bring with you.
Signarama provides a wide range of graphics and signage directly to local businesses, churches, schools, and other industries. Our industry’s nature contributes to our success. Our ultimate goal is to help our clients be seen and remembered, whether through a simple sign project or an elaborate sign program designed to achieve multiple objectives.
From wrapping cars, buses, planes, and trains to building giant electric signs on top of buildings and creating simple routed signs for doctor’s office lobbies, we do it all. We print single banners for Little League teams and hundreds of banners for car dealerships. We love what we do, and no project is too small or too big for us to tackle. Every single one of our customers is a VIP, and we look forward to sharing this enthusiasm with the brightest and best applicants Metro Detroit has to offer.

Mike’s Approach:
- Finding the Right Solution: Mike always looks for the right solution by understanding the customer’s budget and determining the sign that will attract the most new customers.
- Designing the Vision: He sits down with clients to format a design on paper, sketching out the vision and collaborating to get the perfect sign.
- Project Management: Once a commitment is made, Mike hands the project over to a project manager who secures permits and figures out the right materials within the budget. Then works to get the sign installed.
- Client Education: Mike educates clients on the correct usage of their signs, ensuring they get the most value.
- Mathematical Precision: He uses his math skills to figure out square footage and margins, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Continuous Learning: Mike continues to learn from the production team and has grown with the company over the years.
Mike believes that with drive and a desire to win, anyone can be extremely successful in the sign business. He finds it rewarding to see his signs all over town and enjoys the ongoing learning and growth within the company.
